4-Indication:
It is effective analgesic anti-inflammatory drug which used in:
-postoperative pain
-inflammation and swelling
-post-traumatic pain
-non-articular rheumatism
-painful conditions related to vertebral column and muscles
-painful gynecological inflammation
-painful conditions in the ear nose and sinusitis and throat
5-Side effect:
*gastrointestinal tract:
-epigastric pain
-nausea
-vomiting
-diarrhea
-abdominal cramps
-dyspepsia
-flatulence
-anorexia
-gastrointestinal bleeding
-gastric or intestinal ulcer
*central nervous system:
-headache
-dizziness
-sedation
*skin:
-transient urticariea
6-Contraindication:
-treatment must stop if any allergic reaction occurs
7-Precautions:
*It should be administered with caution in patients with:
-active peptic ulcer
-ulcerative colitis
-crohn’s disease
-impaired hepatic or renal function
-cardiac dysfunction
-significant loss of body fluids
*pregnancy:
It should be employed only for compelling reasons and in the lowest effective dose
*breast feeding:
It passes into breast milk but in amounts that are too small to produce undesirable effects
*driving and using machines

8-Dose:
*Adults and children over 12 years:
-The recommended daily dosage is 100 – 150 mg divided into 3 or 4 doses
-In milder cases age 75 – 100 mg is usually sufficient
*infants and children up to 12 years:
-tablets are not recommended for use in children
9-Over dose:
There is no typical clinical picture associated with over dose of diclofenac
10-Storage:
-Store between 15 – 30 C
-protect from moisture and light
-keep out of reach of children
-do not use after the expiry date
